Welcome to CDP Membership!
Introduction
Canadians for Democracy and Prosperity is a leading grassroots advocacy group committed to advancing opportunity for Canadians.
Since our founding in 2018, we have planned and executed a series of issue campaigns to persuade elected officials at all levels of government to pursue policies which create the most opportunity for everyday Canadians.
These campaigns have included:
- "Open for Business” – advocating for pro-free enterprise policies in Alberta
(Winter 2018-19) - “It’s About You(th)” – advancing youth-centered policy solutions in Alberta
(Spring 2019) - “Leading Alberta Forward” – promoting practical ideas to address social policy challenges in Alberta (Spring 2019)
- “Back On Track” – raising awareness of the issue of public sector debt in Canada (Summer 2019)
- “Freedom to Speak. Freedom to Think.” – supporting free speech on university campuses and a free and effective media sector in Canada (Fall 2019).
Presently, we are preparing an issue campaign to roll-out in Fall 2020 which tells some of the many positive stories of Canada’s energy sector and the contributions they make to Canadians and local communities.
We’re offering memberships with Canadians for Democracy and Prosperity for businesses and other groups who similarly support advancing opportunity for Canadians.
Unlike other advocacy groups, Canadians for Democracy and Prosperity is focused on advancing common sense and practical solutions to current public policy challenges which impact everyday Canadians across the country.
We receive no funding from any government or any political party, making us free to speak on issues from a non-partisan perspective.
And our results speak for themselves.
For every single one of our issue campaigns, we’ve seen both opposition political parties or elected governments adopt either some or even all of our ideas. Millions of Canadians have watched our videos or engaged with us through our digital channels.
Here is a quick summary of our social media metrics since 2018:
For businesses looking to be part of the important conversations happening about the kind of democracy and economy we pursue for the next decades, membership with Canadians for Democracy and Prosperity offers a compelling alternative to funding and maintaining in-house advocacy capacity. It also means the business’ name isn’t the public face of any individual advocacy campaign, addressing some of the concerns about potential fall-out from governments and politicians.
What Are the Benefits of Membership?
